ISO 22716

ISO 22716 is an international standard that provides guidance for the manufacture, control, storage and dispatch of cosmetic products.
The standard describes the basic principles for the application of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in companies in the cosmetics industry.
Good manufacturing practice is a practical development of the idea of quality assurance by describing the activities in an establishment and is based on well-founded accurate judgement and risk assessment. 
ISO 22716 is a set of practical guidelines, operational rules and organisational guidelines for managing the human, technical and administrative factors that affect product quality.
These guidelines are designed to track the flow of products from receipt to shipment. 

ISO 22716 addresses the management of the following elements related to the production process:

Additionally, to clarify the path to achieving the objectives of the Regulation, a "principle" has been added to each main section. 
The purpose of the ISO 22716 Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidance is to define the activities that enable an end product to be produced that meets the defined specifications.
The standard provides guidance related to product quality, but generally does not include aspects for the safety of personnel working in the plant and environmental protection.
The Regulation is not applicable to activities related to research and development and distribution of finished cosmetic products.
